A Provincial Touch

Interiors

I hope everyone had a great weekend! The weather was wretched in Chicago- it was simply a weekend to get things done around the house and watch back-to-back episodes of Law & Order SVU

I was browsing Terrain’s online shop and despite all the rain, I was taken away to a small provincial town in France, surrounded by lavender, wine and warm breezes. I absolutely love their new collection of “Copper and Jadeite” and it serves for wonderful inspiration for anyone looking to add a few rustic touches to their kitchen. I’m even pinning a few ideas for my home in the ‘burbs when I’m ready to re-do the kitchen for my tenants.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces from the collection:

Agate Coasters// Birch Paper Straws// Jadeite Cake Stand// Copper Saucepan// Provincial Tote// Woodsy Place-mat// Polka Dot Napkin

These birch paper straws are a must for the holidays- well, actually all of these items would make for the perfect family dinner during the Holidays!

I finally got around to trying out this recipe and it turned out delicious! I thought it fit in quite nice with the theme here; I can just imagine them being served on that Jadeite cake platter. Yum!

If you’re up for a healthy and quick snack, then definitely try these out this week. Check out Cook Your Dream for the full recipe…

Is anyone else digging this new “woodsy” theme that seems to be popping up everywhere lately? There’s just something about a glowing fireplace, a filled home and cabin-like touches to set the mood for the next couple of months! What do you think?
