Happy New Year! There is something so refreshing and optimistic about a new year. Crisp planners ready for appointments, setting goals and resolutions and putting more focus on your well-being! At the last minute, Petar and I ended up flying out to Serbia to ring in the new year with his family. It was spontaneous and unexpected and what better way to start the year off than with some international travel. Call me superstitious, but I put a lot of emphasis on how I bring in the new year. I like the house cleaned, my closet organized, loose ends tied up and a relaxing night in. I feel like it sets the pace for the year ahead. So, for my very first post of 2016, I’m sharing my go-to winter outfit. Simple, chic and always with a pop of color! I bought this cozy and chic midi-sweater dress from Zara (it’s on sale!) and have never felt so comfortable. This is easily something you can wear to the office or a weekend dinner date. I picked up these tall, leather boots from Gilt.com and can’t stop wearing them. They go with just about everything and look super chic. And for an extra dose of coziness? That amazing, red, plaid scarf. I never wear red. Ever. This was a bit out of the norm for me, but I absolutely love how saturated the color is. It’s on repeat all winter long! I, of course, don’t go anywhere without my cashmere and fur hat. We have so many amazing colors but black is by far my favorite. And since it was designed by yours truly, well, I’m biased but it’s your winter must-have!

How was everyone’s New Year’s? What kind of goals/resolutions do you plan on focusing on in 2016?
